History: The Early Years

1976 POWER Engineers is established in 1976 and soon moves into a small log cabin next to the Hailey airport.

From the beginning, dogs accompany their owners to the office (woof, woof!).
1977 The office suffers a serious fire. POWER Engineers' company party, the Burnout, is held annually to commemorate the event.

The founding families go camping and another tradition is born: The company getaway becomes the annual POWER Engineers Outage.
1979 POWER Engineers' 20 employees win their first major contract: A large power system project that includes environmental, permitting, and design for 100 miles of 230 kV line, 40 miles of 69 kV line, and seven substations and switching stations.
