Is your system prepared to meet NERC compliance requirement PRC-027?
POWER’s Chris Byrne will present a paper he co-authored, “PRC-027 Compliance & Area Wide Coordination,” at the EEI Transmission, Distribution & Metering Conference.
Chris will describe the approach to implementing a wide-area coordination program, challenges overcome, and benefits. He will also share lessons learned during wide-area coordination projects, methods used to evaluate individual systems, and provide examples of real, challenging protection problems encountered.
Chris is scheduled to speak at 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 2 in the Breakout 2 session: Protection & Control.
On Tuesday, Oct. 3 from 8 – 9:30 a.m., POWER’s Mark Conroy will be a facilitator during the Best Practices Roundtable. The session will focus on various transmission issues with an eye toward sharing industry best practices from a variety of utility perspectives. Topics will include:
