POWER provided the detailed engineering and design services for the Panda Liberty Generating Plant project. The Panda Liberty Generating Plant is an 829 MW combined cycle electric generating station located in Towanda, Pennsylvania. The station design is based on two identical, single-shaft power trains supported by certain common balance-of-plant systems. Each power train consists of a Siemens H-class combustion turbine and steam turbine driving opposite ends of a common generator, and heat recovery steam generator with duct-firing capability. The facility includes air-cooled condensers and is fueled by natural gas.
