Designed to help LADWP improve system reliability and help the City of Los Angeles meet its state-mandated Renewable Portfolio Standard obligations, the Barren Ridge Renewable Transmission Project (BRRTP) will provide consumers access to wind and solar-generated electricity in the Tehachapi Mountain and Mojave Desert regions of California.

POWER performed the initial siting study to identify proposed alternative routes and sites, and was then approved as the third party preparer of a joint federal and state environmental review and authorized to provide comprehensive environmental and planning services.
