With the construction of this $190 million greenfield plant, New Mexico is on the way to becoming one of the leading dairy-producing states in the country. This new facility, a joint venture between several leading dairy manufacturers, ranks as North America’s largest cheese plant. The plant site comprises approximately 54 acres of new grading and construction with a total plant area of 340,000 gross square feet of new buildings. The milk processing plant ground floor comprises 290,000 square feet with an additional 35,000 square feet on a suspended floor. New building design includes six ancillary facilities including storage, water pump houses, wastewater monitoring equipment, truck scales and guardhouse, totaling 15,000 gross square feet.

Services included mechanical, electrical and plumbing utility design; site development and civil design; process wastewater treatment and water supply development; permitting and site selection assistance; and construction support.
