POWER Engineers Opens Finnish Subsidiary to Support Nordic, Baltic, and Eastern European Clients
HAILEY, Idaho (March, 2015) – POWER Engineers, Incorporated (POWER) announces the formation of POWER Engineers Finland Oy (PEF). The subsidiary, based in Helsinki, Finland, allows POWER to provide locally-based engineering services to customers in the energy and food/beverage manufacturing industries, and to owners and developers of industrial facilities.
Private and public energy providers in Northern and Eastern Europe now have access to POWER’s global experience in power generation from fossil, geothermal, wind, and solar resources, and in the transmission and distribution of electricity, for which it is an industry leader in the United States.
“While POWER has been working in Finland for the past four years, the new subsidiary allows us to provide much better service to our regional customers. Now we can provide local project management, project design and on-site support services during construction to our growing customer base in Finland, the Scandinavian countries, Baltic States, and Eastern Europe.” said Jorma Haapanen, who manages PEF’s Helsinki operations.
Jack Hand, CEO of POWER Engineers, stated “Relationships matter to POWER. We have the expertise to handle projects from anywhere in the world, but the closer we can be to the client, the better we can understand their needs. Having our people in Helsinki lets us know our customers much better, which lets us provide the best service possible.”
POWER offers multidisciplinary engineering to clients worldwide and at all levels of project development. Their services include project feasibility assessment, design and implementation support as well as expert consultancies as owner’s and independent engineers.
The Helsinki office is part of POWER’s growing international operations, joining operation centers in Toronto, Johannesburg, and Bangkok.
