POWER provided engineering design, procurement and construction engineering liaison service to modernize six hydroelectric developments on the Clark Fork and Spokane Rivers.
For each plant, POWER specified and supervised installation of a Bailey Network 90 Distributed Control System. POWER personnel configured this system’s software logic to provide increased efficiency for several plant systems through replacement of governors and voltage regulators, and sophisticated control provisions for generation, lubrication systems and creep detection. These DCS systems also provide the potential for all plants to be operated from one location, if desired.
