The Hardscrabble Wind Project generates more than 74 megawatts of electricity, produced by 37 Gamesa G90 2 MW turbines. The wind farm, located in Herkimer County, was built and is owned and operated by Iberdrola Renewables. In addition to the turbines, the project consists a 34.5 kV collection system feeding into a 230/34.5 kV collector substation that interconnects to National Grid. POWER Engineers provided complete detailed design for the underground and overhead collection system, the collector substation, and the SCADA/communications system. POWER Engineers also developed procurement specifications for project components we designed.
